I have been tracing the Eighmy family which lived in
Crawford County in the 1800's, in Springboro and Spring.
I believe they were in Dutchess County New York prior
to coming to PA. I found this web site today while
searching for info about Pennsylvania "Dutch" and Palatine.
I believe they might have been originally fromn Germany,
and travelled thru France, Holland and England on their
way to America. Thus some think they are Dutch,
British, or French.
the German word for German is Deutsch.
