I hope I am posting to the correct list. I would like to get someone's option regarding the census and posting of boarders. I have had three family members (separate households) that took in boarders. My great grand father for one had a marriage daughter and grandson living with them but they were listed as boarders. Another married uncle had a 22 year old wife and a 25 year old young man living with them. My questions concern the word (boarder) what is your opinion do you think a family would take in a stranger or would it be more likely to be a family member? I believe this young man could have been the brother-in-law since he was also claiming to be from the same homeland as the young wife.
