No they didn't make garden hose or women's stockings - they were a volunteer
fire company on Harrisburg St in Steelton. In the late teens and early
twenties they sponsored a baseball team. My dad, Jim Avery and my uncle Ted
Avery played on the team and my cousin Clarence "Smokie" Evans was bat boy. I
have a picture of the team and would like to know more about them. When they
played, the league if any, and anything else about them. I have checked soem
of the early twentys era newspapers and haven't found anything.

I also have some pictures taken of one of their fire trucks and also inside
pictures of my dad and other men playing pool. I vaguely remember going there
when I was a kid. My mom and my aunt were members of the women's auxilary.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who might know anything.
