When you are looking up some of the earlier obits, don't overlook all
sections of the newspaper. Sometimes you will find them among the social
events section like weddings,etc. The last time we were looking up obits at
State Library, we even found some death notices in the classified sections!
It may be best to use the microfilm readers that do not make copies first, as
you have a larger view of the entire page. If you find it, notate the page
number, date of the paper, then put it on the machine that makes the copies.
That is if they are working!
