Archibald Elliott, listed in "other townships" in the 1790 Dauphin Co. Census bought land from Dr. Joseph Ross in Frederickstown, Derry Twp., Dauphin Co. in May of 1793. He was listed as being of Londerry twp. at the time. He sold the land to John Baum in March of 1797.

According to tax lists for Dauphin Co., Pa - a Daniel Elliott lived in Derry Twp in 1785. Archibald Elliott is listed in Port Royal in 1792 and in Hummelstown in 1794 - 1796. He may have moved to Mifflinsburg, Northumberland Co., PA by 1810.

The tax lists first mention John Elliot of Derry Twp. in 1799. He was listed as farmer living in Derry twp. until he died in 1820 and owned a considerable amount of land. Other records indicate he may have been the son of Daniel Elliott and something about Elliott Island???? He also appears in Derry on the 1800 census. His heirs are listed as heirs of John Elliot in the early 1820s.

Sarah Elliott married Daniel Shiffer in Dauphin Co. in 1796. Daniel Shiffer is listed in Port Royal in 1799 tax lists, and in Derry Twp. in the 1800 census and 1801 Dauphin Co. tax lists. He sold a cow and a stove to Christian Bear in July 1801 and had moved to the Buffalo/Mifflinsburg area, Northumberland Co., PA after that.

I believe
