My last posting on the matter. Thank you Ray and Shela!
I NEVER have unsubscribed from a group and never will, although, I may be
unsubbed, that is their choice, but will honor what all list owners say and
not post the auctions.
This is the record for last years ebay postings on the Dauphin Co., Pa.
list......that used the word "ebay" in them.
According to the lists search for 2002 for the word ebay there were only 39
postings for the whole year out of 1,550 messages posted.....unless rootsweb
is wrong. Not bad for a whole year, considering how many people stay on ebay
as buyers and sellers.
Query: EBAY
Searched for the word ebay on this page:
http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?list=PADAUPHI
Matching Record Count: 39
Total Retrieved: 25
Interpreted Query: ebay
Total Database Records: 1550
Query Time: 1 seconds
I also saw several of those messages state that they bought their book or
document on "ebay" and are
doing lookups.
Ever notice that on almost all of ebay genealogy book sellers pages there
are at least one birth death date to help you determine if that is your
family? Or if you email them most will give you the date to that person,
just so you can decide if that is your family or not, that is very helpful
alone, even if you don't want the book or item.
Or one listing all of those in photos, full names, you may can get a middle
name to that initial you have from it.
I could list hundreds of those pages right now.
Many list adm. are buyers and would never want to have to bid against people
on the list, because
this runs the items up higher, so they don't allow postings on their
boards..
Thanks,
Jamie S. Riggs-Frisco, Tx.

Dear Nadine,
I don't find it amusing that we hurt the feelings of a very gentle person.
Please reread the post that amuses you.
I think our member/listers have spoken kindly to Jamie.
Thank you Jamie for your kindness.
