Regarding yout later apology to the list for publicly posting this message-

Please don't apologize. It provides an interesting look at how you view the
job of administering a list. It would appear:

1.How the list is administered is NOT considered to be a topic for those
directly involved.

2. It would appear that speaking about censorship is to be met with more
censorship.

3. It raises the question of how many other people have been "rejected" or
had their messages "moderated."



Being a member of other lists, I have found that "off topic" messages are
usually self-regulated by those on the list. The members tell the offender that
he has exceeded the standards. It is out in the open. Sometimes it leads to a
brief flurry of messages, but it also leads to higher participation and a
general feeling of unity. If it gets too extensive, those administrators usually
step in and redirect the attention back to a genealogical subject.
