I have resided in Dauphin County my entire life. As a child I was always
curious about the family, but never seemed to acquire many answers for the
questions I would come up with. Recently I became interested in genealogy, and
hope as a newbie to learn much. My Uncle, however, was quite a historian of
this area, sadly we lost him 3 years ago. He told of many great events in history
of floods, train wrecks and every changing towns, always had photos and
records to show us. I now see why he stashed and stored all those olden treasures.


My Dauphin County surnames are:
Cober/Coover/Cover
Nicholson
Bretz
Duke

I have thus far learned bits and pieces of my ancestors, but look
forward to learning not only more about them but also more about Dauphin County and
its history as well. I hope to also meet and make new friends in the process.
