Hi all,

I recently visited the Delaware County Historical Society to do some
newspaper research. I copied one page of notices and before I file it away,
thought maybe someone else's ancestor is on here too...

So here's the short list -- it's just notices, no articles. This is all the
copy.
Hope it helps someone.

Marriages

FIRTH - SAUNDERS -- On the 24th ult. at the parsonage of the Madison Street
M. E. Church, Chester, by Rev. Dr. J.R.P. Gray, Charles FIRTH to Miss Hannah
A. Saunders, both of Upland.

MILNER - GASKILL -- On the 30th ult., by the Rev. S.S. Woodward, Harry
Milner of Philadelphia and Helen Gaskill of Chester.

CONN - BROADBELT -- On the 4th inst., at the home of the bride's parents, by
Rev. N. Turner, John E. Conn and Miss Anna M. Broadbelt, both of Village
Green, Del. Co., Pa.


Deaths

HOOPES--In Media, on the 9th inst., Malinda R., wife of Caleb HOOPES, aged
71 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from her
husband's residence, State St., Media, on Friday morning at eleven o'clock.
Interment at Media Cemetery.

THORN--In Chester, on the 29th ult., Mary J., wife of John A. THORN, aged 51
years.

EVANS--In Chester, on the 28th ult., William F. EVANS, aged 80 years, 4
months, and 15 days.

GILSTON--In Chester, on the 28th ult., Mrs. Jennie Filston [sic], in her
29th year.

LAWRENCE--Eighth month 2nd, at Haverford, Mary Lavinia, daughter of the late
Thomas D. and Mary Ann LAWRENCE.

ULRICK--At Glenolden, on the 2nd inst., Leonard S., son of Leonard S. and
Sophia B. ULRICK, aged 8 weeks.

SEYFERD--On the 29th ult., at Clifton Heights, Christiana SEYFERD, aged 69
years.

DONNELL--On the 2nd inst., at Clifton Heights, Hattie, infant daughter of
Wm. and Mannie DONNELL.

BEIDEMAN--On the 31st ult., at Secane, Margaret, widow of Daniel S.
BEIDEMAN.

BATTEN--On Monday, August 1st, at the residence of George C. Allen, Wayne
George Allen Batten, only son of Emma KIRKPATRICK and Dr. Eugene C. BATTEN.

RUSSELL--At Radnor, on the 38th [sic] ult., Anna M., widow of Hezekiah
RUSSELL, in the 46th year of her age.

PYLE--At Thornton, on the 30th ult., Abi C., wife of Harlan M. PYLE, in the
43rd year of her age.

McCANN--At Darby, on the 30th lt., Maggie A., wife of John McCANN, aged 25
years.

EVANS--In Nether Providence, on July 30th, James H. EVANS, in the 40th years
of his age.
