Subject: PATRIOTS AT VALLEY FORGE
Date: Thu, 14 Apr 2005 11:11:58 EDT
Hello listers - -
I understand there is a place at Valley Forge where one can enter ancestors'
names to determine if the bearer of the name served with General George
Washington during that terrible winter. Apparently this facility is not on line.
Will anyone be going to V F who might look up a couple of names for me?
My patriots are Henry Clevenstine/Clevenson, George Emery/Emmerich, Benjamin
Lascum/Laskum/etc., and his brother Peter, as well as Peter's son John who
lost toes due to frostbite and was awarded a pension for his injuries. All of
these are documented as Revolutionary patriots, but at this point I only know
their battalion/regiment, etc. and what I do have does not include where they
served.
I will appreciate any help or suggestions, and thank you !!!
