Sorry to hear that
your having a "time", but glad to have you back, it sounds slow going, but it's
"going". AS people get older, as long as you "keep it going" that's all
you can do! Sounds like he's on the mend. My father-in-law still
doesn't have his equilibrium back after his slight stroke about 3+ years
ago. WE've been encouraging him to use a cane, is hard to help him
realize things, but still gently reminding him that we're thankful for him being
here! Keep encouraging him to keep going! I'm learning how a sense
of humor sometimes helps in these situations!
We celebrated my
son's 6th birthday over the weekend, heard he (father-in-law) was
having a good day! I had been chatting to my mom-in-law on the
phone. I had invited him to "pop" down, he surprised me
did come down the street! I was thrilled! My dad is gone, so
hope to have him around a long time! Have a great day! Fellow lister,
Cathy Raber

Subject: [PD-LIFE] I'm back
You may recall that I left the list in May or June because of my husband's
major stroke. Things are slowly returning to normal (whatever
that is) but
we have a way to go. Terry is still home, and is learning to
write again,
and is walking some unaided, but has little control over his driving
foot.
Hoping he will return to work in a couple more months. It has
been a long
haul since April.
So I'm looking forward to all your wonderful posts to the list.
Judy
