Dear Group,

Thanks for letting me know that you enjoyed my transcription of Charlie's
letter. However, I'm almost sorry I dug that deep into my personal past.
That one letter has been haunting me ever since.

It brought back the reality of Vietnam and the fears and the worries that
went with it. As a result, I've put it back in the box of his letters that
I've saved and I put the box back in my old Navy foot locker where I have
been keeping them. And I'll keep them only as a personal history of the
Vietnam War. And I certainly don't want to dredge up those memories again.

I guess you could say that they're now relegated to family history of the
1960s.
