We lost one in the neighborhood I grew up in just a couple of years ago. It
had fallen into disrepair, and something had to be done with it. They tried
to get it designated as a historical landmark to save it, but it didn't happen.
They replaced it with just a plain old span, no arches. You have somewhat
of a better view of the river from the road, but it's still kind of sad.

Kids used to walk across the top of the arches all the time. No one ever
fell off that I remember hearing about.
