You can have your number removed.

Go to anywho.com.
Scroll to the bottom and click on Help.
Then scoll down and click on Privacy.
Then follow instructions to have your name removed.

Trouble is there are probably a dozen sites like this. If you do a search on
"reverse directories" or something of that sort, you can find a number of
them. You have to go to all the sites and individually remove your number from
each of them. I did this a while back and some of them I never did figure out
how to get my number removed. But you can get your number removed from most of
them, if you are are persistent in searching out the link that helps you do
