Judy said she was surprised to hear a Scots bagpiper with a Southern accent.
Maybe he is a descendant of the Scots who settled Kentucky/Tennessee in the
early years of our country?

I was privileged to join a group of nine adults for a Thanksgiving dinner
yesterday. Some I knew and others were strangers to me. We enjoyed a variety
of delicious food as everyone had contributed a special dish. We had a
choice of homemade pumpkin, apple or pecan pie for dessert! We read a
thanksgiving prayer aloud together before we sat down to the table. The
thing that impressed me the most about our gathering was the one grateful
thanks voiced by nearly everyone around the table. I know this might sound
strange to you in the East who have had too much rain, but, after nearly
seven years of drought we all voiced how thankful we were for the rain we've
had recently. The weather report says to expect rain again over next
weekend. A Phoenix television station said Wednesday that we've had nearly
as many inches of rain this month as we had throughout all last year.
Flagstaff, 50 miles North of here, opened its ski slopes today, the earliest
they've been able to that for years.

Another thankful Arizonian
