Interesting about the Molly MaGuires.

1.) I knew about the policeman named Yost who was shot down, at night I
believe, as he walked his beat. I probably have more info on that filed
away.

2.) My great-great grandma's cousin Charlie Searfoss (who lived until
aboout 1930 or so) moved to Ridgway, Elk Co. from Carbon County (I don't
know he date, maybe the 1870-s or so) for the express purpose of getting
away from the Molly Maguire violence. I never met Charlie, but I
interviewed old neighbors who vividly remembered him. They remembered
Charlie's saying why he moved to Elk Co.

Charlie Searfoss lived somewhere around Bootjack in Ridgway. I heard that
the road he lived on was naed after him. Does anyone know of a Searfoss
Road (or street) somewhere around Bootjack?? Anybody have any Charlie
Searfoss stories?
