Obituaries: Rita T. Rigard, 84, of 347 Walnut Street died Wednesday morning at Elk Regional Health Center. She was born February 27, 1917 in St. Marys, daughter of the late James and Catherine Gahn Copello. Mrs. Rigard was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the St. Anne's Society and had worked at Stackpole Carbon Co. many years ago. On May 28, 1947 in Sacred Heart Church, she married Leo 'Pickles" Rigard, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jane (Mrs. David) Hyde of Fond-duLac, WI, and Mary Kay (Mrs. Alan) Seelye of St. Marys; a son, Bruce Rigard and his wife, Constance, of St. Marys; six grandchildren; and a brother, Maurice 0. Copello of St. Marys. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Leo J. Rigard Jr., in infancy; two brothers, Charles and Robert Copello; and two sisters, Mary "Honey" Mallison and Florence Sherry. A Mass of Christian Burial for Rita T. Rigard will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church Saturday at noon, with Fath!
er Ananias, O.S.B., as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Births: A daughter was born to David and Meri Ponist, of St. Marys, on Wednesday, February 20, 2002.

Weddings/Engagements: Larry and Darcy Allegretto of Wilcox and Donny and Betsy Leader of Johnsonburg are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Cory Leader to Amanda Williamson, daughter of Kathy and Roger Williamson of Vincent, Ohio. A 1997 graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School, Cory is currently working and living in Be!pre, Ohio. Amanda is a 1998 graduate of Warren High School and is currently attending college. Wedding plans are indefinite.
