Listers,

I need help! I am trying to track down the baptismal records for the
William Kreckel-Mary J. Core Kreckel family.

I have the Certificate of Baptism for my grandmother, Mary Mercedes
Kreckel from St. Leo, the Great in Ridgway. She was born at Johnsonburg
(the birth certificate says St. Marys Mines). Her sister was born at
Shawmut...all I know about that place is that it is in Elk Co. Her other
siblings were born in Elk Co. but I do not know the exact location for them.

I found a Catholic church...St. Leo Magnus in Ridgway and would like to
know from someone in the area...are these two churches the same. I would
like to know before I write to request information.

The couple were married at St. Mary Catholic Church in St. Marys but
they have no record of any baptisms for this family so I need to look at
the other churches in the area.
