Obituaries: Myra N. Kim, 71, of 144 Sugar Hill Road died Monday July 1 at
her residence following a brief illness. She was born April 1, 1931 in
Bennetts Valley, daughter of the late Henry and Mildred Blacken-bicker
Wheeler. In February of 1966, in St. Marys Church, she married Joseph H. Kim
Sr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Kim was a lifelong resident of the
area and was a graduate of Horton Township schools. She was employed by
Andrew Kaul Hospital as an LPN for 20 years, retiring in 1991. She was a
member of the United Methodist church in St. Marys. She is survived by a
son Martin A. Kim and his wife, Kim, of St. Marys; four step children,
Joseph H. Kim of St. Marys, Helen Holland of Charleston, SC, George H. Rim
of Gainesville, GA, Maryann Kim of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren; a
great grandson; two sisters, Virginia (Mrs. Kenneth) McClintock of Penfield,
Thelma Jean Allsbaugh of DuBois; and a brother, Burton Wheeler of Weedville.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services
for Myra N. Kim will be held at the United Methodist Church Wednesday at 11
a.m., with the Rev. David Vaughn, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in
St. Marys Cemetery. Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home
tonight from 7-9p.m.
Shirley Osti, 69, formerly of Penfield, died Monday July 1 at Nelson Golden,
Years Personal Care Home following a lengthy illness. She was born
September 22, 1932 in Penfield, 'daughter of the late James C. and Selma
Beck Munn She married Emmo Osti, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Osti lived
most of her life in Penfield. She was a homemaker and was Protestant by
faith. She loved to hunt and fish. She is survived by a son, Donald Osti of
St. Marys; two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Samuel) Petrucci of DuBois and Susan
(Mrs. Chuck) Meloni of Penfield; eight grandchi1dren; a great grandchi1d;
two brothers, Kenneth L. Munn of DuBois, and Leslie A. Munn of Penfield; and
five sisters, Lillian (Mrs. William) McMillen of Penfie1d, Catherine (Mrs.
Anthony) Scilingo of Ann Arbor, MI, Belva (Mrs. David "Bud") Silvis of St.
Marys, Lottie "Fay" Cimino of Clearfield, and Betty Dodd of Sabula. In
addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son,
Ronald Osti, two brothers, James and Albert "Gene" Munn, and two sisters,
Doris Munn and Janice Haupt. Funeral services for Shirley Osti will be held
Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield. Interment
will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is at the Funeral home
tonight from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 1.2 p.m.
Births: Daughter to Joann and Patrick McMackin of Kersey on Monday, July,
1, 2002.
