Hey all. I'm unleasing this on all of you on the Elk County and Bish mailing
lists first, so you can be my "testers."

I have started a Pennsylvania Genealogy Forum located at
http://genealogy.myzf.com/

I have tentatively added Elk and the counties surrounding Elk, and can add many
more forums as the need arises. Please feel free to write to me with
suggestions for forums, however, they must all be pertinent to PA.

These forums are absolutely FREE,but you must register with a user name and
password to use them. However, that is ALL the information that is required of
you. You don't have to give your real name or address or anything of that
nature.

If you despise pop-ups as much as I do, you will be delighted to know that there
are NO POP-UPs whatsoever on this site, although there is some small,
unobtrusive advertising at the top of the page. However, I don't feel this
detracts at all from the purpose of the page, and can be easily ignored.

You will notice the forums are not alphabetized-- this is because every time new
information is posted in a forum, it rises to the top. So you will never have
to guess if a forum has had new material posted to it.

Most of the forums are formatted to allow the uploading of pictures.

You will also have the ability to send e-mail to others posting on the website.
No one will be able to see your e-mail address, and you can choose to respond or
not to any messages that you get.

Of course, the rules of Netiquette apply to these forums. No flaming, insults,
nasty language, spam or other such nonsense permitted.

I am still learning the in's and out's of the website features myself, but if
you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me privately and off the
list. If I don't know the answer, I will make every effort to get one from Dave
Whittinger, the designer of the myzf.com website.

So go ahead and try it out!

Thanks,

Sherry
