Neil D. Elmquist, 56, of 114 1/2 North Broad Street,
Ridgway, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at his
residence.
He was born October 30, 1948 in Ridgway, son of Neil
and Martha Rierling Elmquist.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mariah Dieker of
Colorado Springs, CO, and Melody Elmquist of
Johnstown; a step daughter, Jennifer Kallin of
Somerset; two sons, Zach and Russell Elmquist, both of
Ridgway; two sisters, Meris Lueck and Holly Elmquist,
both of Ridgecrest, CA; and a brother, Niles Elmquist,
also of Ridgecrest, CA.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal
grandparents.
Mr. Elmquist had resided in Ridgway since 1969 and was
formerly of Ridgecrest, CA. He had been a member of
the Faith United Church of Christ. He had been a
graduate of Luezinger High School in Lawndale, CA. He
had been employed by Weyerhaeuser in Johnsonburg for
30 years. A Memorial Service will be held at the
convenience of the family.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors
choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of a
funeral home in Ridgway.
