Does anyone have information on any Ames families who lived in Erie
County, PA in the early 1800s. One name is Eliza Ames who was born
about 1807 and was the wife of Henry Thompson. The other is a "Miss
Ames" who was born about 1825 and married Josiah Emerson in 1839.
According to family record, this Miss Ames and her infant died during
childbirth sometime before 1842 when Josiah remarried.
