dear list:
I have been using PAF for about 2 years now and really love it, but I
have a problem I can't figure out, I have tried it now on 3 computers and 3
different operating versions of Windows, 98 2000 and XP.
I have PAF 5.2.18 loaded up and I try to export any different
way. It looks at my database I have 205,444 individuals and 80,988
marriages and that goes ok.&nbsp; but when it does the actual export I lock
up on 35,583 individuals and that is where it sits until I close out or ctrl
alt break reboot. I have even left the machine on overnight think it would
go further, but does
not go any further. When I do a check and repair it thinks that I only have
52,938 general names. My family database goes back to the 16
century.
I think it may be corrupt. But don't want to rekey it
all, I have add a lot of info from different families over the last month
and dont want to rekey it all back in Is there another utility I can use to
check out my database. Thanks.

Kevin,
When I had a similar problem, I was told to make a gedcom file and then
import it to an empty file. It seemed to do the trick. I only have
11,869 in that data base. Maybe give it a try and see what happens.
