Subject: How to change Read-Only files

I saved some of my genealogy files to a CD Disk. Now when I try to open
it, it tells me it is a "read-only" file. I went into properties to
change it. I unchecked the "read-only" box, but I get a message that
"access is denied". How can I change this?
