Jill, before you return the PC, pay a visit to this HP site. There is
a lot of advice there and links to manuals you can download:
http://tinyurl.com/8h2zy They may be of some assistance.
The HP m7067c model seems to be orientated towards media and may not
be exactly your "cup of tea" (mine neither :-)). I would guess that
the salesman has "upsized" (as they say at McDonald's) your original
request, to a model you could have done without. HP do make less
sophisticated machines so if you have no success with this one, they
may be able to exchange it for something more useful to you.
HP allow you to customize any model. For example, this model - a1130e
- is less daunting than your present HP m7067c. If you look at this
page - http://tinyurl.com/dsgvm and click CUSTOMIZE - you will see you
can add a floppy drive for an extra $20 to the a1130e. I should
imagine that would apply to the m7067c also.
Next time you visit the store you purchased it from, talk to a
different salesperson, preferably the owner/manager.
