Thank you everyone for your suggestions. They have helped make enough decisions for me to get started, hopefully, the one's I have made will not cause me grief at some time in the future.

I have decided it would be wise to start with my documents, rather than my pictures, while I am on my learning curve. If, I run into a problem, I will be back.
