Hello, all.
I know this problem has been discussed before but of course, "it wouldn't apply to me" and I did not pay attention. Shame on me.
Here it is. I have a Dell tower with Windows Vista and I promptly downloaded PAF. I actually entered PAF data on my laptop and periodically backed up files on a flash drive, intending to restore on the desktop/tower.
The inevitable happened! The laptop crashed. The files are OK on the flash drive but............. When I try to create or restore a PAF file, Vista assumes it can only be read by Adobe Reader (9.3).
I have tried to change the default opening program to PAF but Vista cannot seem to find the program even though I'm looking at the shortcut icon and I can create a new file. (Of course, only Adobe can open it and then it says it cannot read it because it is not in pdf format.)
How do I get Vista to recognize PAF as a legitimate program already downloaded in my computer?
Thanks in advance and I'm sorry I didn't pay attention the times this problem was already solved.
