Or by having someone you TRUST use Teamviewer (free for personal use) to
remotely operate your computer..

And to add to Bills' excellent instructions, it sounds like you are getting
the message because you are double clicking the file itself. By going
through the file menu as he describes you avoid any problems in the file
association (how Windows decides what program is used to open a particular
file type). I don't know why Windows would think Acrobat Reader would be
associated with either a .paf or a .zip file, but that is another matter,
and probably easiest to resolve by you taking the computer to someone who
understands how to properly change file associations.
