Jane - Are there TOO many names for Jacob's Lutheran Church for you to type in a
message? Or would you be willing to make copies of the pages concerning Jacobs
Lutheran Cemetary and send or fax them to me and I will put them on the net? I
have a call into the church (this morning) but no one has returned my call yet.

Fellow PAFAYETT researchers,

One of our colleagues told us during Christmas week about Closson Press
in Apollo.

I called, requested a catalog; it arrived yesterday; this a.m. I ordered
all three of the Fayette Co. Cemetery books they list. One contains
listings for 44 cemeteries, another is just Oak Grove (aka Union) in
Uniontown, and another includes 27 cemeteries in Fairchance, Brownfield,
Smithfield, etc. etc. including "Masontown: Greendale, Jacob's Lutheran,
Fairview, Ashbel;. . . . " This last book is "Some Fayette Co., PA
Cemeteries" by Kathryn Cooley Miller; 239 pages; its price is only
$19.95.

The phone number for Closson Press is 412-337-4482 and they have an
email address of
rclosson @nb.net according to the catalog.

Since most of my ancestors in the past two centuries lived in Fayette
County, these books were a good investment for me. Others may be
looking for only a few folks and so, once the books arrive,
I'd be happy to do look-ups for anyone.
