My name is Linda Curtis Pettingell and I live in Greenville, TX, about 45 miles NE of Dallas on I-30. I have enjoyed reading everyone's introductions and have been surprised by how many live in Texas!(even one of my neighbors I didn't know about!)
My parents, Ralph Franklin Curtis and Margaret (Patty) Rizer grew up in Greene County and left when my dad was assigned to Ellington Air Force Base in Houston, TX , where I was born. I spent a couple of summers with my grandparents, Harry and Willa Rizer, in Nemacolin. Pa has always been a second home. to me.
My Fayette surnames are: RIZER, APPLEBY, BARNHART.
My Greene Co. surnames are: CURTIS, AREFORD, BAILEY, CRAGO, DUGAN, DURR/DERR, FLENNIKEN, FRAKES, MC MINN, PATTERSON, SWEARINGEN, and possibly CUMMINS.
Any information on any of these families would be greatly appreciated.
