Hi Ed, Several years ago I visited Oakland, MD courthouse and found it a
most helpful place. I was able to look at the original records, choose
the ones I wanted copied and someone made copies for me. My ancestors
lived in the area beginning in 1804 and I found many, much needed
documents. I don't know if they have changed anything since I was there
but at that time it was a great experience. The museum there is great
also and they have since moved into larger quarters so I'm sure it is
even better now. Hope you have as much luck as I did.
