I recall my mom telling me that Maryland was where most of the people went
to get married because their laws were so lax there. Not sure what she
meant but it has always been said......"let's go to Maryland and get
married"...and I even recall that being said when I was growing up. Not
sure what laws were lax, but it was easier there.
