Samuel Long (b7/14/1821) is son of Robert Long (United Presby Church,
Laurel Hill, b Lancaster Co) m Catherine Foster (b Lancaster Co)

Daniel Hare was born in Franklin Twp, Fayette Co, (12/31/1826). Joseph Hare
(grandfather) was a native of Scotland, came to America and settled in
Dunbar Twp, Fayette Co, in 1811. He was teh father of Daniel, James,
Matthew, John, and three others whose names have been forgotten. Daniel and
James served in the War of 1812; James died in the War and Daniel was
severely wounded and died in about six months after he returned home.
Joseph Hare (father) ws born in Scotland, came to America with his father
in 1811, and followed farming. He married Susan Lancaster. They had the
following children: Daniel, David, James, John (who served as county
commissioner of Fayette County from 1885-1888), Sarah, Mary, Eliza and
Susan. Daniel Foster (the maternal grandfather) was born in Lancaster and
had: William, John, Henry, James, Tillie, Catherine, Sarah and Martha.

Matthew Arison married Eliza Gettys 12/29/1842. They had six children:
Sarah Ellen (dead); John D; Samuel G (dead); Ann Mariah (dead); William H
and Matthew Hickman. Samuel G was thrown from a horse and killed instantly
8/28/1878. Mrs Arison died 5/4/1864. Mr Arison married again 12/29/1864.
His second wife was Miss Margaret Ann, daughter of Henry Foster (deceased).
They have six children: Charles T, Enoch A, Eliza Jane, James E, Roxaliana
M and Minnie L.
