I am researching the following names:CARR, COMER, WILSON, CROSS,
COOMBS, CONNOR, RUTAN, WHITE,CLAYCOMB,RICKS. My father was Wilton A.
Carr, his father,
Andrew Jackson Carr; his father John Carr, b 1804 in KY? m. Sarah
Comer Wilson in 1829 in Salem, Washington Co., IN. I have lots of
information on him back to that point, but don't know his or her
parents. My mother's paternal grandmother was also a Carr. Jacy
married John Tipton Connor and lived in Cumberland Co.,IL having come
there from Rome, Perry Co,IN in 1871. Her father was Hiram
Carr,b.1822.d.1882, m.Susan Ricks in Rome,In in 1846. His father was
Elisha(Eli)b.1789,d.1843, m. Rachael A. Claycomb(Eli and 3 brothers
married Rachael and 3 of her sisters) Eli's father was Absolom b. abt
1770 Fayette Co, PA, d. 1829 Meade Co., KY, m. Ruth White. Absolom's
father was John Carr(Kerr)b. abt 1720 in Ireland?, came to US with
parents who died on voyage over and landed in Maryland with brother
Thomas and sister Hannah. He married Elizabeth Cross in
Maryland.Looking for info on his parents and or family who took them
in.
