Subject: Getting No where with my Blairs

Help everyone,
I am stuck in Fayette County! I am getting no where with my Blair
branch. It seems Fayette county did not keep records of anything before
1885. Where do I go from here? I sent for wills, death confirmation, and
birth confirmations only to be told I can only get through churches and
family records,(such as Bibles).
In 1880, William Blair, my great great grandfather, was living in
Nicholson Twp in Fayette Co. Do I start writing to churches in that
area? Do churches have records back that far?
Does anyone know where I can get a list of the churches? I even joined
the Blair Society hoping someone can help.
This isn't the first time I have been stuck and I want to thank everyone
who helped me out the last time. This a wonderful list and I am hoping
for more guidance.
Linda
