Time lines are a standard bit of research for most historical work,
especially oral history. It's impossible to get a clear idea of what is
going on in an individual's life without doing a timeline that
incorporates localized and generalized historical time lines. While I
don't know of one, there has to have been some historian who has done
one for Fayette County in the midst of their research. For the period
surrounding the development and subsequent demise of the coal fields,
Evelyn Hovanek and her oral history researchers at Patch/Work Voices may
have done one.

Good luck.
I'll be reading to see the responses.
