I wanted to thank everyone who sent me information on where East Liberty High
School might have been located. I'm still not sure which county.

Does anyone know if the Fayette County Courthouse has computerized their Deed
Indexes and if so, would they send copies of surnames like the Bedford
Courthouse does?

I know my Grubbs was living in Perry Twp. in 1880 (census); my grandmother
was attending school in 1889 at East Liberty High School (photograph); and by
1896 the family had migrated to Surry County, Virginia (1896 obit from
Johnstown). Maybe there is a deed at the courthouse that will tell me when he
sold his property.
