Looking for information on the William J. Jacobs, Sr. family from the
Connellsville area of Fayette County. He would have been my
gggrandfather. He was, at one time married to Lena Jones, my
gggrandmother. She then married Branson Daniels. They had a child
together, his name was William J. Jacobs, Jr. We were under the
misconception that William's middle name was Charles. After a trip to
the Fayette County Courthouse, I found out that on his marriage license
he was William J. Jacobs, Jr. William, Jr. was married to Beulah Belle
Joseph on April 1, 1922. They had 12 children which are all my great
aunts or uncles. One of those children is Helen Catherine Jacobs who
married Merle W. Shipley who was the son of Geary and Emma (Bingner)
Shipley. Emma was originally from the Berlin area of Somerset County.
I hope to get back to the Courthouse soon to see if I can find anything
else out. If you have any information that may be helpful, I would
appreciate your help.
