Hi Folks,
One of our active contributor-subscribers, Mary Lee NEIL Rutherford,
has lost her son, Jesse RUTHERFORD, of Uniontown, in a tragic accident.
Here is the obituary as it appears in today's edition of the
Herald-Standard newspaper:



Jesse RUTHERFORD, Jr., 28 of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, August 31,
2000, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, as a result of a
motorcycle accident.
He was born December 16, 1971, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Jesse and
Mary Lee NEIL Rutherford, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Courtney Jo RUTHERFORD, on
April 23, 2000; a sister, Sharon Lee RUTHERFORD, in July, 1974; his
paternal grandparents, James and Minnie RUTHERFORD; and his maternal
grandparents, Harry and Nellie NEIL.
Jesse was a graduate of Uniontown High School, Class of 1992, and was
an electrician with William S. Redding Company.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Jo GIBSON Rutherford; a daughter,
Brett Harley RUTHERFORD, at home; sisters, Melissa Ann Dionis and her
husband, Michael of Uniontown, Pa., and Salena Marie RUTHERFORD of
Uniontown, Pa.; grandma Midge Beatty Snyder and husband, Herb of
Uniontown, Pa.; father and mother-in-laws, Chester and Mildred "Bunny"
Gibson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the Haky Funeral Homes, Inc. 139 West
Fayette Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 1 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday,
September 2, 2000, until 1 p.m., the hour of service, with Pastor
Michael Ottinger officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette
Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
