Jack D. ARMIE, 61, of North Apollo, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, in
Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born Oct. 21, 1939, in
Wabash, Ind., a son of Martha E. JONES Armie FORD and the late Gene Armie in
1957. He resided in the Apollo area for the past two years, and prior to that
he lived in Claypool, Ind. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in
Wabash, Ind.. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Donna J. HOLBROOK
Armie of North Apollo; his mother, Martha E. Jones Armie Ford of Wabash,
Ind.; two sons, Chris E. Armie of Milford, Ind., and Phillip M. Armie of
Leesburg, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Rich (Jill) Armie CHAGNON of Poway, Calif.;
a brother, Lt. Col. Steve Armie of Haughton, La.. No public visitation;
private family services were conducted. The CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME
INC., 100 Owens View Drive, Apollo, in charge of arrangements.

Hildegarde E. Bagley
Greensburg

Hildegarde E. BAGLEY, 88, of Greensburg, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, in the
Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born June 28, 1912, in
Southwest Greensburg, a daughter of the late Gustav and Hildah JOHNSTON
SWANSON. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles
H. Bagley in 1973; by her son, Charles H. Bagley Jr. in 1990; a brother,
Rudolph W. Swanson in 1977; and two sisters, Edith CARLIN in 1969 and Esther
SCHMIDT in 1970. She is survived by her daughter, Judith TAYLOR ; a sister,
Louise GARDNER of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. There will be
no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral
service in the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green Streets.,
Greensburg, with the Rev. Robert C. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow
in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.

Helen M. BILLEY, 88, of United, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, in the St. Anne
Home, Greensburg. She was born July 16, 1912, in Trauger, a daughter of the
late Frank and Maria LISS ANTONISHEN. She was a member of St. Stanislaus
Catholic Church, Calumet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband, Michael Billey, in 1971; four brothers, Joseph, Steve,
Walter and John Antonishen; and a sister, Anna KORDELLA. She is survived by
her children, Helen SCHACHTE, Virginia B. DOWNS , and Katharine B. KOCHIS.
Friends will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, . A
blessing service will be held in the funeral home , followed by a Funeral
Mass to be celebrated in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Rev. John
M. Foriska as celebrant. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Trauger.

Irwin

Wilhelmina (GERM) BRUTSCHE, 84, of Irwin, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in
Jeannette. Born June 6, 1916, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late
Louis and Elizabeth (SONTAG) Germ. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of
Our Saviour. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
husband, William E. Brutsche; and two sisters, Mary Germ and Suzanne BUCHNER.
She is survived by three sons, Allen W. , William E. , and David L. Brutsche
; a daughter, Elizabeth MITCHELL; two brothers, Jack Sontag and Louis Gehrm;
a sister, Betty Stewart . There will be no visitation. Memorial service will
be held in the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 1570 Clay Pike, North
Huntingdon, with Pastor Mark Fischer officiating. Arrangements provided by
VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, Irwin.

Louis P. MALJAK, 64, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000. Beloved son of Louis and
the late Emma Maljak; dear brother of Dorothy SWANK of Murrysville and Daniel
Maljak of McCandless; dear friend of Maria Martin; Mr. Maljak was a member
of the Wilkinsburg Police Department for 34 years. Friends received at WOLFE

Evelyn E. Farmer McFadden
Scottdale

Evelyn E. FARMER McFADDEN, a very special Scottdale woman, died Saturday,
Dec. 30, 2000, leaving an empty space in the lives of her family and friends.
Mrs. McFadden, 93, died at I.H.S. of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg, where
she spent the last four weeks. Mrs. McFadden, was extremely proud to be one
of the oldest living members of the Trinity United Methodist Church of
Scottdale. Mrs. McFadden was also a member of the Isabella Thoburn Circle and
the Clingerman Sunday school class. She was widowed at age 36 and raised her
two daughters on her own. She worked at the Clover Farm grocery store owned
by her brothers, Wayne and Elwood Farmer, until her retirement. The oldest of
six children, she was born Dec. 1, 1907, and raised in Scottdale, the
daughter of the late Alva Curtis and Ida FREEMAN Farmer. She graduated from
Scottdale High School with the Class of 1926. In 1928, she married James R.
McFadden of Mt. Pleasant, who died in 1943. Mrs. McFadden is survived by her
daughters, M. Joan GEER and Janet E. FRATTO. She was the sister of the late
Lelia ORR and Wayne, Elwood, Teddy and Emma Jean Farmer. Visitation will be
held in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale.
The funeral service will be held in Trinity United Methodist Church,
Scottdale, with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Paul B. Morris, officiating. Burial
will follow in Scottdale Cemetery.

the late Herman and Josephine CIPRA Mertz; beloved sister of Charles Mertz
and his wife Charlotte, Annie Mertz and the late Elizabeth Brentzel. Friends
received at ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding.
Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Wilbur Lyle MOLT Jr., 52, of Level Green, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, in the
Veterans Administration Medical Center, Aspinwall. He was born Dec. 4, 1948,
in Braddock, the son of the late Wilbur L. Molt Sr. and Mary T. (MIRT) Molt
of Level Green. He is survived by a sister, Margaret Ann (Peg) HILL, a
nephew, Mike Hill, and a niece, Renee Hill, all of Level Green. Friends will
be received at the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME, 429 Duquesne Ave.,
Trafford, Funeral service will be in the funeral home with the Rev. Carol
Roth officiating.

Myrtle Elizabeth PRETTYMAN, 94, of Glassport, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at
Kane Hospital, McKeesport. Born Sept. 20, 1906, in West Brownsville, Pa., she
was the daughter of Samuel J. and Ida J. McDONOUGH STALEY. She was a
homemaker and a member of Glassport Baptist Church. She was the wife of the
late John E. Prettyman. She is survived by her companion, Nicolas Hankowitz;
a son, William H. Prettyman ; four daughters, Ida Mae SMITH of Richeyville,
Pa., Alberta BAILY of Tampa, Fla., Carol ROST of McKeesport and Iris LANDVOGT
of Stockton, Mo.; a foster daughter, Betty WATSON of Connellsville, Pa.; 33
grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, John Prettyman and Eugene P.
Prettyman; and two daughters, Gladys Prettyman and Betty PAVLIK. Friends
received at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, Glassport. Funeral service in the
funeral home with the Rev. Richard Baily officiating. Interment in Taylor's
Cemetery, Canterville.

Hospital. She was born Oct. 6, 1918, in Johnstown. She was a member of St.
John's Lutheran Church in North Versailles and East McKeesport Senior
Citizens. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rae A. LIPUMA. Survived by
a son, Roger A. Reininger of Spartanburg, S.C.; Friends received at
FORGIE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeeport Funeral service
in St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Bonds-Krug officiating.
Interment in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.
