Sunday- Duane Curtis "Curt" BODKIN, 49, of Dunbar, Pa., who was
formerly employed at Anchor Hocking in South Connellsville, Pa. as a
Tool and Die Maker and a United Sates Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War,
died Saturday, June 30, 2001 at home.
Arrangements will be announced by the Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28
Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa.

Monday- Duane Curtis "Curt" (aka Mudbug) BODKIN, 49, of Dunbar, Pa.,
died Saturday, June 30, 2001 at home as the result of an ATV accident.
He was born February 13, 1952, in Connellsville, Pa., son of David E.
BODKIN, Sr. and Iva Lanora HARDY Bodkin.
Curt was a retired tool and die maker from Anchor-Hocking in South
Connellsville, veteran of the United States Navy who served in the
Vietnam Conflict, and a member of American Legion Hughes Post in Dunbar
and Irishtown Sportsman's Club.
He was a talented guitarist with the "Good Time Boys Band".
His daughter, Lanora BODKIN, died in 1973. His mother is also
deceased.
He is survived by his father, David E. BODKIN, Sr. and his wife, Sandy
of Florida; his wife of 30 years, Shirley LONG Bodkin; a daughter, Erica
BODKIN at home; brothers: David E. BODKIN, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of
Cummings, Georgia, Larry BODKIN and his frined, Linda, of Uniontown,
Pa., Travis BODKIN and his wife, Sherry, of Jacksonville, Fla, Emil
WESTON of Jacksonville, Fla., and Scott BODKIN and his wife, Melissa, of
South Carolina; sisters: Dianna Peterson of Morning Sun, Iowa, and Kathy
Sinagel and her husband, Mark of Chesapeake, Virginia; several nieces
and nephews.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE Funeral Home, 28
Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, July 4, 2001, until 11 a.m., the
hour of service with Pastor Lee MALEY officiating.
Interment follows in Mount Auburn Cemetery where Military Honors will
be accorded by Trotter American Legion Post 762, Connellsville American
Legion Post 301, and Connellsville V.F.W. Post 21 Honor Guard.
