William E. King-- Age 80 years of Grays Landing, Pa. died Monday, April 11,
1977 in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born September 29, 1896 in Oliphant
Furnace the son of the late John and Belle Mitchell King. He was a veteran
of World War I and a member of the UMWA, Local 6301 Warwick Mines ans the
Faith Gray McCardle VFW, Post 4584. He is survived by his wife, Jessie
Lewellyn King; a son George Larry King of Washington D.C.; three
grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Richard King of
Masontown, Edward King of Gallatin, Pa. Two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Davis of
W. Leisenring, Pa. and Mrs. Mary Tice of the state of Ohio. Friends are
being received in the Grant R. Townsend Funeral Home, 220 S. Main St.,
Masontown today from 2:30 to 4 p.m. the hour of service Rev. J, W, Townsend
will officiate. Interment in Greendale Cemetery Military Rites at the
Graveside, will be accorded by the Masontown VFW and the American Legion.
