James R. ARTIS, 66, of Pittsburgh, Pa., formerly of Connellsville,
Pa., died in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.


Surviving are his wife, Lois Artis; two daughters, Dr. Catherine
ARTIS and Diane ARTIS, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Mabel
(Faye) Thomas of Newport, Pa.; a brother, Roy ARTIS of Connellsville,
Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today in Pittsburgh, Pa.
