Some folks used these much later than the 1890's.
My brother found multiple copies of a gorgeous one that had belonged to our
Dad; he had one framed for me. We studied these very closely and could
identify very minor variations indicating that each had been had scrolled.
I was handed one in Evanston, IL circa 1963 by a gentleman from my church
who had called to welcome me into the community.
He was a bank President, if I recall correctly, in Chicago.
Some high schools printed these up into the 50's and they were exchanged at
graduation, but these weren't the same as the handwritten ones.
