FUNERAL OF MISS JENNINGS
Funeral services for Miss Letta Jennings, aged 18 years and ten months, who
died Saturday, October 26, at 10 a. m. at the Uniontown hospital, following
an operation for appendicitis, were held at the home of her father, Marshall
Jennings, near Waltersburg, Monday, October 28, at 10 a. m. She was a member
of Pleasant View Presbyterian church. The services were conducted by her
pastor, Rev. M. P. Steele.
Floral offerings were presented by B. J. Murphy and family and by Class No.
13 of Third presbyterian Sabbath school. While in Uniontown she attended and
was a member of that class. Being the oldest of a family of seven children,
she leaves her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Jennings, four
brothers, Homer, George, Harvey and John, and two sisters, Stella and Ethel,
to mourn her loss. Six uncles acted as pallbearers, William Haney, Howard
Jennings, Leroy Underwood, Harvey Jennings, Grant Brink and George Dixon.
Note: Marshall is the son of Velinda (Goodwin) and Thomas Vincent Jennings.
Marshall was born in Grant District, Preston County, WV near Bruceton Mills,
WV.
