Alison, My Riggans are tied in with your Hirum Long. I have Mariam (Minnie)
Long married George Riggans 9/22/1903 in Morgantown, WV. Her parents are
Hirum Long and Rachel ?. Mariam was born around 1886 in Fayette county. I
have the following info from 1910 census: ED # 78 Monongalia Co, WV, sheet
8B, Morgan District, ancestry image # 16.
Long, Hinam (poss. mispelled), head, age 60, married 40 yrs, born in VA,
parents born VA, coal miner
Rachel, wife, age 58, mother of 7, all living, born in Pa, parents born in
Pa.
Frank, son, age 27, divorced, born Pa, VA, Pa, miner
Taylor, Alice, grandchild, age 7, born WV, Pa, Pa
Taylor, Hinam, grandchild, age 5, born WV, Pa, Pa
Riggins, Edith, grandchild, age 4, born Pa, parents born Pa
I also have this: 1910, ED # 191, visit # 171, Minnie Riggin, age 24,
Scottsdale, Westmoreland Co., enumerated with Albert W. Strickler. She is
listed as single but I believe that George and Minnie divorced. He was
remarried and living in Westmoreland co. also.
If you find anymore information related to the Riggans, would you mind
sharing it with me? I hope this has helped you. Thanks, Cindy
