James Robert BROOKS, Sr., 62, of Mill Run, Pa., died Friday, October 26, 2001, in UPMC-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

He was born January 21, 1939, in Normalville, Pa., son of the late Charles M. "Manie" Brooks and Jessie I. Hall.

James graduated from Uniontown High School and worked as an Auto Mechanic for many years. He then went to work for the former Volkswagen of American in New Stanton, Pa., and later worked as a Security Guard for Seven Springs Resort and also Fallingwater.

James is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary E. Hutchinson Brooks; their loving children: Christine and her husband, Alan Indof, Catherine E. and her husband, Eddie Williams, and James Robert Brooks Jr. all of Mill Run; his grandchildren: Stephanie Indof, David Indof and Bethany Indof, all of Mill Run; his stepmother, Mary E. Rowan Brooks of Waltersburg, Pa.; a brother, Carl M. Brooks and his wife, Janet, of Footedale, Pa.; and a sister, Doris Hensel of Melcroft, Pa.

Family and Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 30, at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home with Rev. John B. Davis officiating.

A Committal Service and interment will follow in Mount Nebo Cemetery, Saltlick Township, Fayette, County, Pa.
