The only thorough history of Uniontown covering the period you've mentioned
is James Hadden's "A History of Uniontown" which I do not believe is
on-line yet anywhere.
There is a somewhat limited history of Uniontown, with an emphasis on the
earlier days, in Franklin Ellis' "History of Fayette."
