Hi,
I just found my gg grandmother Mary ENGLISH in Upper Tyrone on the 1880
census. She is living with her widowed son Joseph who is head of household and his
two year old daughter, Kate. Joseph's 13 year old brother John is also
listed.

Also living with them is Mary's daughter Mary GROVES and her children: James
10,
Walter 7, George 5 and Rebecca 4.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone connected with either of these
families.

My great grandparents, James ENGLISH and Sarah WHITE ENGLISH were also in
Upper Tyrone on the 1880 census. Since my one year old grandmother also appears
on the census I would guess she was born in Upper Tyrone. Can anyone give me
an idea of what Upper Tyrone was like in 1880. James and Sarah were in
Pittsburgh for the 1890 census.
