This was the second year book published by South Brownsville High School.
It is called The Peptimist. This is listed as Vol.2 Issue 4 June 1921.
It is a paperback and has a different style than some of the later
yearbooks. Advertisements are scattered through out. I am quoting from
the actual yearbook.

In the class history, the group entered as Freshmen 45 strong in 1919. In
the fall of 1920, many of their group didn't return, including MITCHELL
SHAPO, THOMAS BAKEWELL, and PEARL BIRKENFIELD. In 1921, the class lost
MILDRED MILLER, whose family moved to Ohio; MARION SEDGWICK left to move
with her parents to Elizabeth, PA, and CATHERINE SMITH left school on
account of illness. There is no class roster of the Sophomore I class.
There is a picture and there is a history written by Abe HERSKOVITZ which
mentions many by name. Here are the names mentioned JOHN SPINELLI, CLARA
THORPE, MARY STARR, ISABELLE ALLEN, ROSE RONY, ELLA MATTA, LILLIAN FINK,
CLYDE WYATT, SARA WRIGHT, HAZEL HARN, HELEN RANDOLPH, MARGARET BREEN,
WILLIAM LYNCH. Some people are mentioned by first names with last
initials, JEANETTE T., FREDWEICK F, HATTIE V, ROBERT M., RUTH, OLIVE,
KATHRYN P, HERSCHEL.

Class history: "On the gloomy morning of Jan. 29, 1920, thirty poor
forlorn half-frightened Freshies flocked to the high school." Some of the
class are listed and the picture appears to combine the Sophomore I and II
classes. My mother is in this class and she always said that she only
spent 3.5 years in high school as they were given the chance to graduate
with the Sophomore II class or contiune on the track they began.
My mother's picture is in with the total sophomore class.

Here is the list given at the bottom of the page as part of the history
written by Hazel Haines. They contain sayings attributed to those listed.

LILLIAN BURKE, ELEANOR BINNS, FLORIE CHADWICK, FREDERICK FLORENCE,

HELEN GEHO, ALVIN GALLATIN, SARAH KEIBLER, ANNA MILLER, JANE PERCY,

SARA THORNTON, VAN TIDBALL, RUTH WILLIS, RUTH MILLER.
